As the corrugated sidewall conveyor has been running for long time, we need to do some maintenance to keep it clean, in case of impacting its normal operation. Now that the cleaning the belt is so important that we might as well know about considerations of designing corrugated sidewall conveyor sweeper.
1.When you use channel steel as the belt longitudinal beam, you should use bolt or pin shaft to fix the sweeper onto the longitudinal beam of belt conveyor. When you use steel tube as the belt longitudinal beam, you should use a band iron to fix the sweeper onto the longitudinal beam of belt conveyor. 2.Both sets of the front and the rear rollers of the sweeper in the middle and the tail of the conveyor which uses the triple roll as the belt rollers should be replaced with straight rollers to keep the belt surface level,the contact area of sweeper and belt enough and to guarantee the cleaning effect.
3.The thickness of cleaning strip should not be less than 10 mm, the height of the extending part of the fixed frame should not be less than 20 mm,the fixed frame is not allowed to rub the belt surface while the machine is running.
4.The cleaning surface of the conveyor sweeper should keep contacting with the belt, cleaning area can not be less than 85% of the belt width.
5.In order to avoid conveying materials falling onto the tail roller,the triangle rack of the both sides of the sweeper should be fixed solely with thin chain or wirerope.
