1. Equipment Features
 

1) Bucket elevator is a kind of material handling equipment, which uses a series of buckets that attached to traction to convey powdery, granular and lumpy material vertically or aslant. It is widely used in building material, refractory, machinery, mining, food processing industries, etc.

2) Advantages of bucket elevator
Small overall dimensions of cross section, low space occupation, compact layout of conveying system;
High lifting height;
Material conveying in enclosed casing, no dust, no environmental pollution and good sealing.

3) Disadvantages of bucket elevator
It is sensitive to overload.
Buckets and traction component are easy to damage.

2. Equipment Classification
The commonly used arrangement of bucket elevator is vertical installation. Vertical bucket elevator can be divided into three types, TD belt type, TH link chain type and TB plate chain type.

1) The discharge method of TD belt type bucket elevator is centrifugal or composite type. It is suitable to transport powdery, granular and lumpy small abrasive material, which bulk density is less than 1.5t/m3, and temperature is not more than 250℃. When the material temperature is between 60 ℃ and 200℃, the traction component should be heat-resistant rubber conveyor belt.

2）The discharge method of TH link chain type bucket elevator is gravity or composite type. It is suitable to transport powdery, granular and small lumpy material with medium grinding, which bulk density is less than 1.5t/m3, and temperature is not more than 250℃.

3）The discharge method of TB plate chain type bucket elevator is gravity type. It is suitable to transport large grinding lumpy material with medium and large size, which bulk density is less than 2t/m3, and temperature is not more than 250℃.

4)THG & TDG type are improved version of TH & TD type bucket elevators, which have the features of large capacity, high hoisting height, compact structure, stable operation and long service life.
