Adjustment and maintenance of cement screw conveyor
Cement screw conveyor is a kind of screw conveyor; it has more innovative structure, more advanced technology, which is frequently-used delivery equipment.
Firstly, the characteristics
1) Small resistance, strong sealing, good wear resistance.
2) Adaptable, low noise, easy operation and maintenance, flexible layout of the inlet and outlet.

Secondly, adjustment
1) When installing, it is necessary to adjust the suspension bearing to avoid the gap between the split surfaces and to maintain the radial clearance between the bearing and the connecting shaft so as to ensure the flexible rotation of the screw.
2) Suspension bearings shall be mounted at the midpoint of the coupling shaft with a clearance of more than 10 mm and 20 mm respectively from the ends of the two helical tube shafts.
3) In order to adjust the cumulative error between the length of the housing and the screw, it is permissible to apply the braided asbestos straps between the flanges of housings during installation. Whether it needs to add waterproof canvas between the casings and the covers or not will according to the sealing requirements.
4) When the height difference between the center of the low speed shaft of the gear box and the center of the screw conveyor is too big, the height of the drive unit can be adjusted by means of a washer.
5) When no-live load test, if bearing oil leak, bearing should be removed to adjust the tightness of the spring within the seal until it is not oil spills.
6) When no-live load test, the temperature rise of the bearings should not exceed 20 °C, if the temperature rise is too high, it indicates that the location of suspension bearings installed improperly, resulting in coupling shaft clamping, we should loosen the fastening bolts, adjust the position of suspension bearing, and the bearing temperature rise should not exceed 30 °C when load test.
Thirdly, maintenance
1) The spiral conveyor machine should be no-load start, that is, starting when there are no materials in the casings, feeding to the screw machine after start.
2) When the auger conveyor machine starts to feed material, the feeding speed should be gradually increased until the rated conveying capacity is reached, and the feeding should be even. Otherwise, it is easy to cause the stuffing of conveying materials and overload of the driving device.
3) In order to ensure no-load start of the screw feeding equipment, it should stop feeding before stopping the conveyor; stop the machine after the materials in the casings finished conveying.
4) The material should not be mixed into the hard bulk materials to prevent the screw stuck and the spiral machine damaged.
5) Check the working status of each component constantly in the use of the screw conveyor, see whether the fasteners loose or not.
6) Special attention should be paid to see whether the bolts between the coupling shafts of the spiral pipe are loose, dropped or cut off. The conveyor should be stopped immediately and corrected if yes.
7) Covers of the screw feeder conveyor should not be removed while the machine is running, to avoid accidents.
8) Abnormal operation of the auger transporting conveyor should be checked and eliminated, shall not be forcibly operated.
9) The operating parts of the spiral machine should always add lubrication.
10) The reducer should be filled with oil HQ-10, and change the oil once every 3-6 months.
